Will your replacement cartridges fit
my existing filter housing?
If your housing requires a standard
sized (9 ¾”) cartridge, then our cartridges will work for you.

Will your filters
remove lead?
Yes,
heavy metals such as lead, cadmium and aluminum are removed from the water by an
electrochemical process. They are attracted to the surface of the media, much
like a magnet. Click

How often should the filter cartridge be changed?
This of course depends on certain
variables such as the condition of the water being filtered as well as how much
water is used. In most cases however, changing is recommended as follows:

- Approximately every 3 years
KDF/GAC Economy
- Approximately every 2 years
Ceramic
- Approximately every year

Can we use our own faucet?
In most cases it is possible to use an
existing water filter faucet, however a standard faucet is included with each
Universal Water

What is the difference between
the standard faucet and the designer faucet?
The designer faucet has a ceramic valve
as opposed to a plastic one. Also, the designer faucet flow rate is adjustable
whereas the standard faucet uses an on/off lever. Also, the designer faucet is

Will your filters remove rust or sand
from the water?
For homes with a high level of sediment
(rust, sand, etc.), our
double or
triple housing filters are recommended. These filters include sediment
pre-filters which are designed to remove particulate such as rust and sand.

replacement cartridges from you?
Yes, we are committed to maintaining the reputation we
have built for excellent service and dependability. Should a filter cartridge be
discontinued or become unavailable in the future, we will work with you to find
an alternate replacement or solution.

How is the whole house media
replaced?
Two replacement methods are available:
1. A media refill kit can be ordered -
the old media is poured out of the main vessel, and the new is poured in. The
old media can be recycled.
2. A new tank can be ordered to simply
replace the old unit - it can also be returned for recycling.
